Essential Job Functions:
- Staffing and supervisory responsibilities: Assists in maintaining full enrollment, hires qualified staff, supervises staff and evaluates staff performance, approves and monitors staff schedules and Paid Time Off, covers ratios in classrooms as needed.
- Program/Curriculum Development: Leads and assists staff in instructional development and articulation of educational program, oversees development of lesson plans, attends approved professional development seminars as directed by Garrett Williamson.
- Professionalism: Builds professional partnerships with teaching staff, peers, supervisor, and families.
- Compliance and Coordination: Coordinates the Keystone STARS Program, provides Keystone STARS training opportunities, resources and support to staff, manages Garrett’s Way compliance with all state/local/federal regulations, including, but not limited to, Department of Human Services and the Department of Education, oversees ELRC and welfare programs, coordinates and budgets Department of Education funds for Kindergarten, coordinates PDE reporting mandates and requirements for the Private Academic License.
- Financial Administration: Accountable for Garrett’s Way daily financial operations, assists in planning annual budget and oversees audit preparation as it relates to childcare.
- Records and Reports: Apprises Executive Director of center activities and concerns, provides monthly child care report to the Board of Directors, oversees the waitlist as needed, oversees development and maintenance of all administrative records for the center, oversees staff files and updates parent/child files
- Health and Safety of Work Environment: Updates emergency evacuation plan as needed and reviews annually with staff, executes monthly fire drills in compliance with DHS and PDE, able to lift 40 pounds, uses Grounds Crew maintenance software to report safety concerns.
- Communication: Maintains active communication with Executive Director, represents Garrett’s Way and Garrett Williamson in a professional manner at all times, maintains positive communication with parents/guardians, schedules and performs center tours, oversees parent-teacher conferences, open houses and community building events (some Saturdays required for public relations events), assists the marketing coordinator with public relations activities, oversees emergency closings/ early dismissal communications, gives input into and analyzes parent surveys regarding Garrett’s Way programming and participates in implementing positive programs/procedures based on results of the same.

Required Skills, Experience and Professional Development:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or related Human Services field

Primary Role: To further the mission of Garrett Williamson by helping to organize and supervise camper activities and outcomes. A successful Summer Camp Administrative Counselor will foster positive relationships with campers and staff while assisting with various camp operations.

Essential Job Functions:
- Assist the Camp Director and Assistant Camp Director with key administrative tasks required to successfully manage summer camp, including but not necessarily limited to answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining organized camper registration and other records
- Contribute to the planning and execution of program activities for campers, ensuring alignment with Camp Garrett’s weekly themes and desired outcomes
- Apply basic youth development principles in working with campers through communication, relationship development, respect for diversity, inclusion, and empowerment of youth.

- Design and lead activities that prepare LITs for leadership roles and effective teamwork including the coordination of weekly service projects
