Life changing camp experience

When I heard that I would be able to work because of a generous scholarship offer, I was relieved that I would be able to continue to work in order to pay the bills and provide my daughters with a safe home environment. However, I wasn’t expecting the camp experience to be life changing for my girls. I can’t fully express what a blessing Camp Garrett was for my daughters. The camp was so wonderful and the girls looked forward to going every morning and came home each afternoon with stories about their day. My one daughter loved learning about the garden and going on hikes, while my other enjoyed the swimming and meals cooked with produce from the garden. After the first week I knew that they were in a safe and loving environment and I felt encouraged as a Mom knowing that they were not just in a program for childcare but were in an enriching environment that allowed them to be themselves and explore new things.
